One of my favrorite things is looking at vintage photography. I collect photography books and vintage fashion magazines, and it was actually Vivien Leigh who first sparked my itnerest in the subject. I found it interesting that she was both actress and model on many occasions, and there are so many gorgeous fashion photographs of her. I later learned that laurence Olivier was also featured in fasion publications, and they both had working relationships with many of my favorite artists. Throughout their lives, both Vivien Leigh and Laurence Olivier sat down to be photographed by nearly every famous photographer of the day. They were often featured in magazines such as Vogue and Harper's Bazaar, film magazines, and stage magazines, as well as the daily press. "Viv and Larry In Focus" is a special section of this website that profiles the men and women behind the still camera. From Cecil Beaton to Laszlo WIllinger, each photographer brought their own brand of artestry and individuality to their work. Each photographer profile will feature photos of Viv and/or Larry Olivier, as well as samples of their other work.
