No. This is a site made by a fan for the enjoyment of other fans. I am not affiliated with the families of either of these people.

?? Are Vivien Leigh and Laurence Olivier still alive?
No. Vivien Leigh passed away in 1967 and Laurence Olivier passed away in 1989. You can read all about the Oliviers in the Oliviers section of the site (see link above).

?? Why did you make this site?
Because they are my favorite old Hollywood couple and I thought they were really underrepresented on the web, especially Laurence Olivier. I wanted a place to express my vast interest in them as well as share my collection and meet other fans. Okay, and I wanted to put my Photoshop skills to the test and learn web design to boot :P.

?? Where do you get the photos in your gallery?
From a variety of sources. I have a lot of things to scan from my own collection, and I also have met a lot of people online who are also into collecting HQ photos and have graciously let me upload their scans. You can see specific resources in the Resources section of the site.

??Why do I have to register to see the photos in the gallery?
Because there are a lot of rare photos in the gallery, and I like to know who is viewing them, and it allows me access to easily ban people who cause problems, as well as save bandwidth. Don't worry, you don't have to provide any personal information, and it's free and easy to register.

?? Why would I get banned from the gallery?
If you're a nuissance/disresectful of the work that goes into this site and you're caught stealing photos for your own site without credit, and/or you're caught trying to sell things from this site on ebay or any related site (hey, it's happened). The latter is the biggest no-no. That's really it. Just please be respectful and you won't have to worry about it.

?? Can I upload my own photos to your gallery?
No. I disabled the user upload function because as a rule, Coppermine gives users a very minimum amount of disk usage, meaning users only have enough space to upload about 5 photos and then it won't let you upload any more. You are more than welcome to donate photos to the gallery and I can upload them for you. Many people have already done this. Simply send me an e-mail with links to the photos or attach them as files and I will gladly put them in the gallery, as well as give you credit underneath the photo and in the Resources section of this site. In terms of photos for the gallery, I'm looking for the largest and highest quality possible.

?? Do you make other websites?
Not really. This is my first site and I'm still learning web design. Ive been doing photoshop for about four years, but have just recently put my foot in the web design water. I did re-design the department site at my job, but that isn't online yet. One day I hope to gain enough confidence and skill in a variety of design programs so that I might be able to try freelancing for some extra money.

?? How do you make the graphics on this site?
With Photoshop and a dash of patience, mixed with 4 cups of practice. See the Resources section for specific materials such as brushes and textures.

?? Do you make money off of this website?
Not personally. This is a non-profit fan site. Any donations to this site, monetary or otherwise, are used strictly for site maintenance and for providing extra goods for fans to see here (such as contest prizes, photos for the gallery, etc.).
